Job summary

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to own the technical architecture and strategic direction of the N&E ML Platform across Disney's News & Entertainment brands.

You will drive scalability, personalization, and ML infrastructure improvements by partnering with senior leadership, product, and cross‑org engineering teams to set the standard for ML excellence.

Responsibilities

Architecture Ownership: Define and own the end-to-end architecture of the N&E ML platform across ABC News, ABC Entertainment, National Geographic, Marvel, and Disney Studios.
Strategic Technical Leadership: Identify, scope, and prioritize the most impactful ML workstreams across the N&E portfolio.
ML Platform & Infrastructure: Drive design and evolution of data pipelines, workflow orchestration, feature stores, batch training, and low-latency online serving.
Innovation & Industry Awareness: Stay at the forefront of ML trends and champion adoption of new technologies across the portfolio.
