Job summary
HP is seeking a Principal Software ML Engineer to define and guide the architecture of modern software platforms across HP’s device and services ecosystem. You will lead AI-enabled capabilities, collaborate with customers, and shape edge AI experiences for next‑gen PCs and peripherals.
The role requires deep system-level thinking, hands-on credibility, and experience delivering scalable, secure architectures in enterprise contexts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with complex platforms and distributed systems.
- 5+ years in technical leadership, architecture, or principal engineer roles.
Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end software architecture for client apps, backend services, cloud workflows and device interfaces.
- Provide technical leadership for AI-enabled capabilities, including LLM workflows and model orchestration.
- Mentor senior engineers, raise engineering standards, and drive design reviews and roadmaps.
- Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to shape architecture and product direction.
