Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Software Engineer for Hollywood, MD. The role focuses on state-of-the-art Mission Planning systems in an Agile Scrum environment, supporting full software lifecycle from requirements through customer support.

On-site work in Hollywood, MD is required. The ideal candidate has a DoD Secret clearance, strong C# and/or Java skills, and experience with CI/CD, Windows, and automated testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or 0 years with a Master’s degree.
• Current DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance
• Experience with Agile and CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins) and practices
• Proficiency in C# and/or Java and OO design
• Experience with Microsoft Windows technologies
• Test procedure development and maintenance
• Experience with automated testing and test software such as TestComplete 4
• Experience with version control systems (Bitbucket, git, CVS)
• Hands-on system troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test and debug applications and systems
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for fast delivery
• Set up and deploy Development, Test, and Build environments
• Install, test, and verify software products
• Provide support for software build and installation
• Work in a cross-functional Scrum to develop mission planning features
• Interface with customers and third-party peripherals
• Develop and execute automated test strategies
• Support contract deliverables documentation
• Assist Scrum Master role when required
