Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) seeks a Software Engineer to join the Mission Planning team in Hollywood, MD. You will design, develop, test, and maintain high‑performance software for mission planning and execution, working in a cross‑functional scrum environment.

Responsibilities include building CI/CD pipelines, deploying environments, and interfacing with customers and third‑party software. A strong background in C# or Java and Windows technologies is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field; for MS, less experience required.
• Secret clearance; SAP clearance ability is required or achievable.
• Experience with Agile and CI/CD tools in a software environment.
• Proficiency in C# and/or Java and OO design.
• Experience with Windows technologies and test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software and systems to standards.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for rapid delivery of software.
• Set up development, test, and build environments and Windows installers.
• Interface with customers and third‑party software/hardware for integration.
• Participate in cross‑functional scrum teams to deliver mission planning features.
• Develop and maintain test products, plans, and procedures for testing.
