**Job Description:**

**This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.**

**Overview**

Position is required for providing Artificial Intelligence - including Generative AI - and Machine Learning-based automation solutions tied to the strategic direction of the company for network operational efficiencies that result in cost cutting and improved customer experience.

Position supports AT&T's key initiatives in the service assurance space by developing data pipelines and AI/ML models in a highly complex technical architecture. AI and Machine Learning enabled automation with its fast-growing capabilities provides much larger impact than traditional methods in reducing operational cost and improving customer experience. AI and ML methods enable dynamic ticket correlation, root cause analysis at scale, predictive analysis for prevention of issues, anomaly analysis and insights on customer behavior and traffic trends.

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**

+ Technical thought leader that will work with Network Ops, Access Construction and Engineering, Labs, Network Systems teams to determine use cases, obtain data, provide actionable insights thru data analytics, define AI/ML models, and integrate new automated processes and soware flows with operations.

+ Innovate new technologies and lead development of new solutions for Service Delivery and Service Assurance applications through use of AI/ML.

+ Develop AI/ ML algorithms and cloud-based soware utilities that will address various use cases as well as provide foundation for similar future efforts.

+ Provide strong technical leadershipin the evolution of this challenging complex technical area relying on knowledge of the existing domain and transforming data, processes, and capabilities for the future solutions.

**Qualifications**

+ The position requires strong network and soware development experience with expert level and growing knowledge of AI/ML technologies, cloud-based soware systems, containerization, micro services, open sources tools, common platforms, platform architecture, and security architecture.

+ Role requires in-depth AI/ML knowledge and continuous learning in this fast-evolving field, as well as understanding of RAN and Fiber technologies and Network monitoring platforms and data.

**Education and Years of Experience**

+ PhD in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Our Principal Member of Technical Staff, earns between $160,900.00 - $270,400.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
