Job summary

Flowserve Corporation is seeking a Principal Mechatronics Engineer to join the global Innovation team from Budapest. You will lead mechatronics architecture, firmware, and signal processing efforts, shaping new product concepts and integrated solutions across platforms.

You will collaborate with engineering units, product management, and external partners while traveling up to 20% to the US, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field.
• 10+ years in technology development and innovation with commercialization focus.
• Strong systems-level understanding across electronics, mechanics, physics, and user interfaces.
• Experience in developing and commercializing new products with differentiating tech.
• Professional English proficiency.
• Experience with hardware platforms and motor/drive/power electronics domains.
• Ability to build global tech partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on complex mechatronics and digital projects.
• Lead concept development and buy/build/partner recommendations for commercialization.
• Collaborate on proofs of concept and proof-of-value demonstrations with product management.
• Coordinate global mechatronics platform architectures across product lines.
• Guide external teams and monitor industry trends for partnerships.
