Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and optimize mechanical tooling and equipment for semiconductor manufacturing.

You will oversee design layouts, schematics, and specifications, coordinate procurement, and ensure compliance with industry standards throughout the product life cycle. The role involves collaborating with electrical, chemical, and software teams, visiting sites to resolve issues, and contributing to a supportive global company that offers growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in equipment design and fabrication.
• Deep technical expertise in equipment design and assembly.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment, especially wet processing equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop and implement concepts for complex product engineering solutions.
• Determine appropriate material and fabrication processes for parts.
• Lead or execute engineering projects as part of the R&D team.
• Identify and troubleshoot engineering problems across domains.
• Specify engineering tests for mechanical systems and oversee testing.
• Review product specs and invent subsystems to meet future needs.
• Coordinate procurement and assembly of mechanical components.
• Visit manufacturing and customer sites to resolve issues.
