Job summary

TeamWRX Direct seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer in Fort Worth, TX to lead a talented engineering team through concept to production. You will guide product development for aerospace, defense, energy, and fire suppression markets, focusing on safety, reliability, and performance.

You will mentor engineers, drive manufacturing automation, and partner with operations, quality, and leadership to deliver measurable improvements and manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• 10+ years of Mechanical Engineering design experience
• 5+ years supporting manufacturing engineering, technical support, or engineering project management within a manufacturing environment
• Strong product design and development experience
• Injection molded part design experience
• Assembly automation and manufacturing process improvement experience
• CAD proficiency with 3D modeling software
• Strong understanding of manufacturing best practices
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering initiatives across multiple product lines
• Drive new product development from concept through manufacturing
• Improve existing product designs for quality, manufacturability, reliability, and cost reduction
• Lead manufacturing engineering and automation improvement projects
• Optimize production processes and assembly methods
• Support manufacturing readiness for new product introductions
• Develop engineering documentation, specifications, reports, and technical drawings
• Analyze production workflows and recommend process improvements
• Mentor and develop Mechanical Engineers
• Provide technical leadership for complex engineering challenges
• Support testing, validation, and quality initiatives
• Partner closely with manufacturing, operations, quality, and leadership teams
• Participate in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
• Travel up to approximately 20% as required for project support and technology development.
