G&H Staffing Companies is assisting a Franklin, MA client in finding a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development and life-cycle support of rugged maritime and robotic hardware.

The role emphasizes electromechanical assemblies, FEA analysis, DFM implementation and collaboration with customers and vendors. You will guide a team of up to six engineers and ensure designs transition smoothly to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 10–20 years of practical mechanical design experience.
• Direct project engineering or technical lead experience.
• Experience performing Finite Element Analysis.
• Design experience for maritime systems and hardware.
• Experience leading design teams up to 6 engineers.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, analyze, and maintain military and commercial hardware.
• Electromechanical design and electronics packaging.
• Perform vibration, shock, fluid, and thermal analyses.
• Implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) practices.
• Create/update detailed fabrication drawings.
• Interface with customers and vendors on projects.
• Provide guidance to vendors and manufacturing.
