Our client in Devens, MA is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to lead electromechanical design and analysis for complex assemblies. The role requires hands-on modeling in SolidWorks or CREO and rigorous tolerance and manufacturability considerations.

You will perform FEA using ANSYS Workbench to evaluate vibration, thermal, and structural performance, while collaborating with customers and vendors on design specifications and proposals. Direct project leadership experience is preferred.

Formación

• 2–5 years' experience in mechanical design.
• Direct project engineering or technical lead experience.
• Experience performing Finite Element Analysis.
• Design of maritime systems and hardware.
• Design of robotic systems and hardware.
• Mechanical Engineering BS (or equivalent).

Our client in Devens, MA is looking to bring on a Staff Mechanical Engineer. This is a direct hire role with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Electromechanical design, layout, modeling and production support of electro-mechanical assemblies and electronics packaging (using Solidworks and/or CREO).
• Analysis of complex mechanical systems via ANSYS Workbench implementing both explicit and implicit modeling to study vibration, shock, fluids, Fluent, structural loading, and thermal responses / performance of the system.
• Implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) practices.
• Create/update detailed designs and drawings for fabrication.
• Interface with customers and vendors on a project engineering level.
• Writing design specifications, reports, and proposals.
• Presenting technical internal and customer presentations.
• Perform tolerance analysis, check and approve detail designs and drawings
• Provide technical guidance to vendors and manufacturing in the build of DoD electromechanical assemblies.

Experience

• 2-5 years' experience in mechanical design.
