Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Engineer Level 3 to support Production Engineering and Operations on site in Iuka, MS. The role is on-site only and shift Fri-Sun 7:00am–7:30pm.

Responsibilities include guiding design for manufacturability, tool design reviews, defining build sequences, and driving producibility improvements. Basic qualifications include a degree with years of experience and a DoD Secret clearance; preferred qualifications cover

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of related engineering experience OR Master’s degree and 3 years of related engineering experience OR PhD and 0 years of exp.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance (investigated within last 5.5 years).
• Ability to obtain/maintain Special Access Program within the business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Engineering regarding design concepts to ensure the best manufacturing technique is used.
• Participate in tool design reviews to ensure tools are feasible and reduce build times and program costs.
• Define sequence of operations for product builds.
• Investigate and initiate corrective actions for non-conforming product.
• Identify improvement opportunities in producibility and affordability initiatives.
