Nubank seeks a Library Architect to own the core programming language ecosystem and shared abstractions powering its backend microservices. You will govern, define strategy, and drive stability across a vast library landscape supporting 4,000+ services.

You will lead cross-language architecture, mentor senior engineers, and steward foundational libraries while aligning with product and security requirements in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building high-throughput, fault-tolerant backend ecosystems.
• Experience standardizing libraries across hundreds to thousands of microservices.
• Proficiency in multi-language runtime environments and integration patterns.
• Strong executive and horizontal influence across senior leadership and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define the 2–3 year language landscape strategy for backend libraries.
• Provide horizontal leadership across engineering teams and tech stacks.
• Govern and own a large ecosystem of microservices libraries and dependencies.
• Architect AI-ready engineering workflows and foundational libraries.
• Steward open-source contributions and core frameworks.
• Mentor senior engineers and influence directors on engineering standards.
