Waymo is seeking a Principal technical leader to guide architectural strategy across the Simulator platform. You will lead complex horizontal integrations, define interfaces between onboard autonomy subsystems and offboard simulation, and shape multi-quarter roadmaps across simulation, evaluation, and vehicle platforms.

You will mentor senior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and establish standards for validation and scalability.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and cross-functional programs.
• Experience with large-scale simulation or autonomy systems.
• Excellent communication of complex designs to diverse stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Architect and lead horizontal software integrations across the Waymo Simulator stack.
• Define long-term vision, interfaces, and roadmaps for simulation and onboard/offboard workflows.
• Drive multi-quarter architectural migrations across simulation, evaluation, and onboard engineering teams.
• Partner with senior leaders across teams to align system design and fidelity requirements.
• Establish standards, validation methodologies, and integration frameworks to accelerate capabilities.
