Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal Software Engineer - Java Middle Layer to join our San Diego team on site. You will collaborate across Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, Test Automation, DevSecOps and Systems Test in an Agile environment.

The role requires a STEM degree and five years of related engineering experience, or a STEM master's with three years. You will work with Java, C, C++, Python and SOA/JEE in a full SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM and 3 years of related engineering experience.
• Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Agile software development, SW integration and testing.
• Experience with Java, C, C++, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a team environment with Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, Test Automation, DevSecOps and Systems Test in an Agile software development environment.
• Participate in the software development cycle including prototype and GUI design, implementation and delivery of build/test/release.
• Develop enterprise solutions for Java EE in a SOA environment.
