Job Title: Principal IT SAP Functional Analyst

Position Type: Direct Placement

Salary Range: $140k - $238k/Year

Work Type: Hybrid, 3 days onsite (Tuesday to Thursday)

Information Systems Technology Services is a unified organization that collaborates across departments to deliver high-quality technology solutions. The SAP Electric Ops Work Management Delivery organization provides SAP IT services to the Electric line of business, responsible for strategic planning, roadmap development, solution design, delivery, and support.

Position Summary

The IT SAP Functional Analyst PowerPlan configures, implements, maintains, and upgrades PowerPlan modules. This role analyzes business requirements, creates functional design documents, and performs system configuration and localization, serving as a strategic partner and business liaison for technology decisions and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

Business Support and Consulting

• Define standard processes in PowerPlan and promote their adoption in Finance and Tax.
• Analyze complex business processes across all PowerPlan modules.
• Understand current and future business environments to anticipate and meet needs using PowerPlan capabilities.
• Propose and influence IT solutions for cross-organizational business problems, negotiating requirements and deliverables.
• Evaluate customizations, advocating for standard functionalities to reduce costs and TCO.

Functional Analysis

• Automate and optimize PowerPlan system processes.
• Map business requirements to SAP S4 system capabilities and configure accordingly.
• Review design and technical specifications for alignment with business needs.
• Perform configuration, quality reviews, and testing activities.

Qualifications

Minimum

• 10 years in Information Technology.
• 8 years as a Functional Analyst in PowerPlan.

Desired

• Familiarity with CR, PM, Asset/ARO, Depr modules.
• Experience with project creation, estimating, approval, charges, work orders, PowerTax, and Tax Repairs.
• Knowledge of Lease Accounting Module, Month-End Close, PowerPlan Integration Tools, SDLC, and ETL processes.

Additional Desired

• SAP, SAP tables, SAP GUI, Hana, S4HANA ERP, large ERP projects, dashboards.

Functional Skills

• Accounting concepts related to Asset Management, Depreciation, ARO, GAAP, FERC, and related systems.
• Knowledge of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and related financial processes.

Non-Technical Skills

• Effective communication with technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to convey success and failure stories to management.
