Job summary

Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is seeking a Principal Information Technology Analyst to support the Innovation Hub and IT Service Desk at Headquarters in Los Angeles. The role focuses on ensuring reliable operation of end-user devices, AV systems, media streaming tools, and hybrid meeting technologies.

You will coordinate major meetings, support internal and public-facing tech needs, and guide teammates while driving improvements in system stability and user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and eight years of progressively responsible IT experience, with two years at Senior Programmer Analyst or Senior Systems Analyst level.
• Experience supporting AV and conferencing technologies, including hybrid meetings and web conferencing.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and guide team members; strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support for high‑profile meetings, including Board and executive sessions.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot AV systems, hybrid meeting platforms, and media tools; manage related service tickets.
• Schedule and prepare AV resources for internal and external events; ensure testing and readiness of equipment.
• Monitor queues across Innovation Hub, WS1, and IT Service Desk; identify trends and areas for improvement.
