Responsibilities
- Design, build, manage, and maintain the IT infrastructure that supports an organization's operations.
- Architect and deploy IT infrastructure components like servers, network configurations, storage systems, and cloud environments according to business needs.
- Architect infrastructure delivery and lead transformation initiatives involving Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Establish a sustainable IT DevOps model by driving a mature solution architecture aligned with industry best practices.
- Forecast future infrastructure needs and scale systems to accommodate growing demands.
- Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks for improved efficiency.
- Work with business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver digital solutions leveraging automation tools and coding skills.
- Automate system deployment and management tasks to enable private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
- Install, maintain, administrate, and troubleshoot infrastructure components and services on AWS, Azure, and as needed on prime appliances.
- Provide guidance to other team members with converting customer requirements into reliable IT infrastructure.
- Identify repetitive infrastructure tasks and automate them by developing reusable and maintainable infrastructure provisioning and configuration code library.
- Assist team in designing and implementing changes, improvements, or installation of automation.
- Support DevOps operations by integrating developed IaC and Configuration as Code (CaC) into CI/CD pipeline builds.
- Develop documentation utilizing enterprise standardized templates including Installation and Configuration Guides, white papers, design and engineering plans.
- Collaborate with architects to represent DevSecOps during the design and development of software or extensive revisions to existing applications.
- Identify areas of improvement in the current infrastructure to enhance resilience and reliability.
- Conduct research and provide review recommendations on software and technologies for vulnerabilities.
- Implement and maintain security protocols across the infrastructure to protect sensitive data, including firewalls, access controls, and encryption.
- Review vulnerability scans and provide mitigation techniques.
- Knowledge of and experience with Federal security regulations, standards, and processes including FISMA and NIST.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of cloud computing delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) and deployment AI models related to Public, Private and Hybrid Cloud service.
- Familiarity with cloud data services and big data processing tools.
- Strong understanding and working experience of network protocols, server operating systems (Linux, Windows), storage technologies, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, RedHat), and virtualization.
- Experience with tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus (/Docker), POSTMAN, Swagger (OpenAPI) and other DevSecOps tools.
- 7+ years scripting/coding experience with modern DevOps tools such as Ansible, Python, VMware PowerCLI, PowerShell, and deep expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience in AWS technologies like VPC, ALB, API Gateway, Lambda, EKS, ECS, Docker, ECR, EC2, S3, CloudFront, Terraform, CloudFormation, RDS, CloudWatch, and AWS Tags.
- 5+ years of DevOps experience.
- 2+ years’ experience in GitHub and/or similar version control code repository systems.
- Excellent knowledge of the software development lifecycle: build, test, deploy and release management with CI/CD automation and integration tools like Jenkins.
- Experience with containerization, e.g., Docker & Kubernetes, and server virtualization.
- Excellent analytical skills to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Clear communication abilities to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of security best practices and industry standards to protect against cyber threats.
- Optional Certification(s) would be a plus: Terraform Associate Certification, Amazon Cloud Solutions Architect, Azure Cloud Solution Architect.
Certification:
- Preferred AWS/AZURE/RedHat.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Location:
- Remote, USA (Preferred in DC or Austin area).
Clearance:
- Ability to obtain MBI Clearance.
Pay Range:
- This position ranges from $98,145 to $140,625.
- The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
