Northrop Grumman in Roy, UT is seeking a Principal Industrial Engineer to join our defense systems team. You will work across Industrial, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Business Management, and Pricing & Estimating to build credible, executable production proposals.

You will develop BOEs, labor and material estimates, staffing plans, capacity models, and schedule-aligned manufacturing assumptions; use Excel and data tools to analyze historical data;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing operations, or proposal estimating.
• Experience developing bases of estimate and staffing plans.
• Strong Excel modeling, presentation, and written communication skills.
• DoD Interim Top Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Develop BOEs, labor and material estimates, staffing plans, capacity assessments, build-rate models, and schedule-aligned manufacturing assumptions.
• Apply estimating methods including bottom-up, parametric, and actuals-based approaches with trend analysis and CERs.
• Translate SOW and WBS into time-phased proposal inputs and production plans.
• Use Excel and data tools to analyze historical data and support estimate quality and auditability.
• Support proposal reviews, fact-finding, and negotiations with traceable data.
• Help improve reusable estimating tools and databases for future work.
