Job summary

Itron, Inc. is seeking a Principal, Identity Management to steer enterprise IAM strategy across hybrid, multi-cloud and on-prem environments.

You will architect secure identity solutions for workforce, customers, product identities, and non-human identities, while advancing Zero Trust and governance across the organization. This role partners with Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering and product teams to deliver scalable identity controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS, cybersecurity, MIS, or related field.
• 7+ years in cybersecurity or identity engineering with 5+ years on IAM design/operations.
• Deep knowledge of authentication, authorization, SSO/federation, LDAP, and Zero Trust.
• Experience across hybrid, multi-cloud, SaaS, Windows, Linux, and on-prem environments.
• Strong writing and presentation skills with agile, collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve enterprise IAM architecture, standards, and roadmap.
• Lead secure identity solutions for workforce, customer, product, and non-human identities.
• Advance Zero Trust and least-privilege across hybrid environments.
• Establish identity governance with lifecycle management and access certifications.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Define monitoring, logging, and metrics for identity risks and controls.
• Provide leadership during identity incidents and major security decisions.
• Drive automation, policy-as-code, and AI-enabled IAM improvements.
• Mentor engineers and document architectural guidance for adoption.
