Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an IT Integration Engineer Principal to lead enterprise-scale integration initiatives across clinical and revenue-cycle workflows. You will guide architecture, design, and QA of complex integrations, partnering with cross-functional teams to enforce standards and security.

You will mentor engineers, oversee incidents, and drive continuous improvement with a Design-First approach using OpenAPI/Swagger within the Apigee layer.

Qualifications

• 10+ years relevant experience in integration and architecture.
• Bachelors in Computer Science, Technology, Medical, or Business or equivalent experience.
• Broad experience with server, infrastructure architecture and application design.
• Leading architectural design of large enterprise initiatives.
• A record of partnering with Clinical and/or Revenue Cycle Management senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead Enterprise Integration Initiatives: end-to-end design and lifecycle of large-scale healthcare integrations.
• Strategic API Governance: enforce Design-First principles and enterprise standards via automated policies.
• Architectural Strategy & Innovation: evaluate emerging technologies for clinical and revenue cycle systems.
• Advanced Security & Compliance: implement OAuth2, mTLS, and HIPAA/FHIR guardrails in API layers.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: coach engineers and grow deep subject-matter expertise.
• Operational Excellence: lead incident root-cause analysis and maintain centralized API catalogs.
