Job summary

SpaceX's Starlink team seeks a Principal Hardware Engineer to own the electrical design of customer-facing hardware including Starlink dishes, user terminals, and gateways. You will drive end-to-end hardware development, from concept through production, partnering with silicon, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver high‑reliability systems used by millions of users worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
• 8+ years of professional experience designing circuits, electronic products, or hardware.
• Advanced hardware development across full lifecycle with production release experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test highly reliable electronics for communicating with satellites.
• Drive system trades, requirements capture, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, hardware bring‑up, debugging, and test.
• Work with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to deliver high‑performance hardware.
