Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Hardware Engineer for Starlink gateways and customer hardware in Texas. You will own the development of millions of user-facing devices, including Starlink dishes, user terminals, and gateways, ensuring performance and reliability in diverse environments.

You will partner with silicon, software, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing teams to move designs from concept to production, tackling challenging environmental and integration requirements for global users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing circuits, electronic products, or hardware.
• Experience taking hardware from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test highly reliable electronics for communicating with satellites.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, thermal, and production teams.
• Lead system trades, requirements, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, debug, and bring-up.
• Support hardware through production, satellite integration, and flight.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance hardware.
• Drive design improvements by data analysis from on-orbit and lab tests.
