CVS Health is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to set the technical direction for enterprise-grade GenAI systems in a regulated healthcare environment. You will lead across data science, clinical, product, security, privacy, legal, and business teams to deliver trustworthy, scalable AI solutions.

You will report to the Lead Director on the Commercial team within our Aetna Technology organization and guide architecture, tooling, and best practices while mentoring engineers and delivering scalable

Formación

• 10+ years software engineering with 5+ years in architecture or design.
• 5+ years building large-scale microservices and APIs (Node.js, TS, Java, or Python).
• 5+ years hands-on AWS and/or GCP (serverless, CI/CD, AI/ML).
• Hands-on with AWS Bedrock or GCP Vertex AI or equivalent.
• Production experience with agentic AI frameworks and RAG architectures.
• Strong Python skills for AI/ML engineering.
• Experience delivering AI/ML systems in regulated environments with security and privacy.
• Track record influencing technical direction across multiple teams.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and deliver production-grade GenAI and agentic AI solutions, including RAG and vector search.
• Build scalable, cloud-native AI systems using serverless architectures, APIs, CI/CD, and IaC.
• Own the production AI lifecycle from experimentation to monitoring and cost optimization.
• Establish secure, compliant AI practices addressing privacy, governance, and model risk.
• Define AI architecture standards for agent orchestration, RAG, and tool integrations.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, security, privacy, legal, and business teams.
• Provide hands-on leadership through design reviews, mentorship, and documentation.
