Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (Principal) to serve as a technical authority across ISG. You will embed with enterprise accounts during platform modernizations, migrations, and AI inferencing deployments.

You will operate at the intersection of enterprise architecture, production code, and long-term product strategy, driving zero-downtime migrations and scalable patterns across cloud-native platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with 5+ years driving high consequence infrastructure or Kubernetes architectures at scale.
• Ability to command technical credibility with C-suite stakeholders while remaining hands-on in production code.
• Deep Kubernetes primitives, CRDs, Operators, and GitOps architecture expertise.
• Experience untangling complex enterprise monoliths and migrating to cloud-native deployments.

Responsibilities

• Bridge core engineering, product management, executive leadership, and customer architects as the primary technical authority.
• Architect, scale, and validate production-grade vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS) and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) topologies for critical deployments.
• Design and deploy real-time AI inference, RAG pipelines, and distributed AI runtimes across multi-GPU clusters.
• Lead end-to-end migration strategies from bare metal/legacy systems to cloud-native Kubernetes targets.
• Engineer production operators/CRDs in the field and upstream contributions into ISG codebases.
• Synthesize customer pain points into concrete product requirements and influence roadmap with senior PMs.
