Job summary

SAP SE is seeking a Principal Forward Deployed Architect to provide technical leadership for enterprise AI programs. You will define architectures, lead multidisciplinary teams, and partner with executives to shape AI transformation strategies.

This expert role focuses on reusable patterns, governance, and delivering value across SAP and client engagements. You will work with SAP BTP, Joule, and cloud platforms to drive impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, AI, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years software engineering and enterprise architecture with customer delivery.
• Expertise in Python and modern enterprise app architecture.
• Deep experience with LLMs, agentic AI, RAG, and AI observability.
• Extensive experience with SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, Joule, and integration tech.
• Strong Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proven ability to architect large-scale SAP and non-SAP integrations.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring talent.
• Exceptional communication and executive stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture for complex enterprise AI programs from discovery to production.
• Lead solution architecture across AI agents, VDG, MCP, multi-agent systems, and cloud platforms.
• Serve as primary technical advisor to executives, architects, and program leaders.
• Architect scalable AI platforms using SAP tools and cloud-native services.
• Define reference architectures, frameworks, and governance models.
• Lead workshops, architecture reviews, and executive solution presentations.
• Guide engineering teams across engagements; mentor senior engineers.
• Drive security, observability, performance, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Influence SAP product teams with architectural feedback from customer work.
• Identify opportunities and establish new technical capabilities for the org.
