Job summary

SAP SE is seeking a Forward Deployed Application/ML Principal Engineer in New York. You will design, build, and operate cloud-native AI-enabled enterprise applications, embedding AI capabilities into customer environments and fast-moving teams.

You own end-to-end delivery, translate complex requirements into scalable architectures, mentor teams, and establish guardrails for responsible AI adoption while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in software and application engineering for cloud-native, enterprise, and SaaS environments.
• Proven ability to design and deliver AI-native applications using LLMs, RAG, and agentic systems.
• Strong proficiency with AI/ML Python libraries and data pipelines/MLOps practices.
• Experience integrating AI into complex business processes with responsible use.
