Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to contribute to the development and testing of satellite flight software. This role focuses on software development (60%), integration and testing (30%), and additional responsibilities (10%). The position requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM and 15+ years of experience. The salary range is $150K-$220K, depending on location and qualifications. U.S. citizenship is required, and the position can be fully remote with preferred locations in Denver, Arlington, Merritt Island, or Houston.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 12 years with a Master's degree.
• Proven track record of working with space hardware or flight software systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test U.S. satellite flight software.
• Support GNC algorithms development.
• Conduct flight software verifications and validations.
• Document management, including versioning and bug reporting.
