ALTEN Technology USA is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to contribute to the development and testing of satellite flight software. This role focuses on software development (60%), integration and testing (30%), and additional responsibilities (10%). The position requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM and 15+ years of experience. The salary range is $150K-$220K, depending on location and qualifications. U.S. citizenship is required, and the position can be fully remote with preferred locations in Denver, Arlington, Merritt Island, or Houston.
Qualifications
Minimum 15 years experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 12 years with a Master's degree.
Proven track record of working with space hardware or flight software systems.
Responsibilities
Develop and test U.S. satellite flight software.
Support GNC algorithms development.
Conduct flight software verifications and validations.
Document management, including versioning and bug reporting.
Skills
C/C++ proficiency
GNC algorithms design
Embedded software development
Real-time operating systems programming
Software safety assurance
Education
Bachelor's degree in STEM
Master's in STEM (preferred)
