Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking an Engineer (E4) in the Firmware & Product Test (FPT) team to validate enterprise SSD firmware, develop test plans, and advance automation using Python. You will work with firmware test engineers, data scientists, and mentors to apply AI/ML methods, improve coverage, and ensure NVMe front-end feature validation aligns with customer specs.

This full-time role offers exposure to simulation, FPGA prototyping, and hardware prototypes, with emphasis on scalable testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field with several years of experience.
• Proficiency in Python and data libraries: NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn.
• Experience with test automation, validation frameworks, and code review.
• Knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals and data-driven problem solving.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools and prompt engineering techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement firmware verification plans for customer requirements and NVMe protocol features.
• Analyze regression and validation failures, perform root‑cause analysis, and communicate findings and mitigation plans.
• Develop and enhance test automation, reporting, and data‑collection tools within validation frameworks.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools, LLMs, and agent‑based solutions to improve test development and validation efficiency.
