Position Overview
Principal Engineer Systems Architect – responsible for designing system architectures, defining key capabilities and requirements, and establishing technology constraints and external interfaces in line with customer needs. Will help maintain the engineering model, develop structure and behavior diagrams, and collaborate with IPTs to gather necessary data.
Location
On-site in Melbourne, Florida.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with cross‑functional teams to create conceptual data models and data flows.
- Design, develop, and document systems that contain logical solutions using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Review modifications of existing systems for cross‑compatibility.
- Implement data strategies and develop physical data models.
- Coach team members on developing the requirements, architecture, design, and implementation in the model.
- Perform systems requirements analysis and manage requirements, including decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military experience, OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 3 years of related professional/military experience, OR STEM Ph.D. AND 1 year of related professional/military experience.
- Experience developing model‑based systems engineering products and/or mission engineering.
- Experience modeling software systems and software system of systems.
- Experience with systems engineering tools (e.g., Cameo Suite) and an Agile framework.
- Experience with RNP and RNAV navigation specifications.
- Active DoD Interim Top Secret (or higher) clearance with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modeling and simulation.
- Applied knowledge of aircraft design.
- Experience in the military aerospace development environment.
- Experience integrating complex systems across multiple domains.
- Experience demonstrating concepts to management and customers.
- Experience with Cameo Magic Draw or other MBSE tools such as Rhapsody, Sparx EA, and Enterprise Architect.
- Experience developing DODAF view artifacts, especially operational and functional viewpoints, using MBSE tools like CAMEO.

Salary Range
$95,300.00 – $142,900.00 (general guideline; actual compensation may vary).
