Carrier Global Corporation seeks a Principal Engineer, Software Quality & Engineering Governance to establish enterprise software standards, governance frameworks, and automated quality controls across Python, .NET, SAP, and cloud-native environments. You will drive AI governance and review AI-generated code while ensuring security, performance, and maintainability across global teams.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED required.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading architecture, software quality, governance, or technical review functions.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, Information Systems preferred.
• Experience governing AI-assisted software development and generative AI coding platforms.
• Experience with Python, .NET, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, cloud technologies, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with SonarQube, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, or comparable platforms.
• Experience implementing engineering scorecards, technical debt programs, and software quality frameworks.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and modern platform engineering practices.
• Experience leading global engineering transformation initiatives.
• Hands-on experience reviewing and governing software development across multiple stacks.
• Experience establishing software development standards, governance models, and engineering best practices.

Responsabilités

• Establish and govern enterprise software engineering standards and governance frameworks.
• Lead code reviews, ensure alignment with requirements and architecture principles.
• Define AI governance standards for AI-generated software artifacts.
• Implement automated CI/CD quality gates and DevSecOps controls.
• Lead architecture and technical design reviews for strategic initiatives.
• Define performance engineering standards and benchmarks across platforms.
• Mentor engineers, architects, and development managers; promote engineering excellence.
