Description

We seek bold, innovative individuals to join our team as a Staff Engineer – Survivability in Melbourne, Florida. The Survivability Engineer will enhance the survivability of defense systems by applying advanced materials and processes and integrating these technologies into air‑based systems within the NGAS portfolio.

Essential Duties
  • Develop and integrate advanced technology to reduce aircraft detectability in the electromagnetic spectrum.
  • Develop predictive analysis codes, build and test physical models, design and develop test and verification equipment, and integrate specialty materials.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers from other disciplines to optimize integration of this technology on existing and future aircraft.

The selected candidate will work full‑time on‑site at our facility; no remote or hybrid work is available. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 12 years of related engineering experience; OR Master’s degree and 10 years of related engineering experience; OR PhD and 8 years of related engineering experience.
  • Applied electromagnetics and/or aircraft survivability or comprehensive understanding of electromagnetic energy transmission through space and materials.
  • Experience with CAD software such as CATIA, Unigraphics, or NX.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance (in scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access required for the position within a reasonable period of time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in signature integration, RCS design, analysis, and testing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use CAE and/or FEA tools (e.g., FMS, Patran, Cubit).
  • Proven experience with 3D Method of Moments (MoM) such as SENTRi and 3D Physical Optics (PO) codes such as Xpatch.
  • Programming experience in C++, MATLAB, Python, or other technical languages.
  • Knowledge and use of RCS data processing tools such as Knowbell, Saber, or Pioneer.
  • An active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance and/or previous SAP/SAR clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $168,200.00 – $252,200.00.

The salary range is a general guideline; base salary decisions consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
