Job summary

Danfoss in Ohio is seeking a Principal Product Engineer to lead technical solutions for Aeroquip Fluid Conveyance products across multiple sites. You will act as a technical authority, develop novel solutions, design products, and guide cross‑functional teams through the product lifecycle.

The role emphasizes leadership, problem solving, and the ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally to support projects, with relocation not included and a focus on advancing technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials or other Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in product engineering or manufacturing engineering.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
• Relocation assistance is not available; must live within 50 miles of Van Wert or Maumee facilities.

What We're Looking For

Required (basic) qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials or other Engineering from an accredited institution
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
• Must be within 50 miles of the Van Wert, OH or Maumee, OH facility. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in product engineering or manufacturing engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years' experience in product engineering or manufacturing engineering
• Minimum 10 years' experience in hydraulics products/systems
• Demonstrated technical leadership across multiple product lines or technologies
• Advanced degree (Masters, PhD, or other uniquely obtained knowledge base)
