Software Resources is partnering with a major Phoenix-based company to hire a Principal Engineer I specializing in AIOps and ServiceNow. The role emphasizes hands-on development, micro-certifications, and leading a team to deliver secure and reliable solutions in a complex environment.

You will collaborate with sponsors, refine requirements, mentor junior engineers, and present IT narratives to stakeholders, with a 4-day on-site schedule and remote Fridays, for a 6+ month contract to hire.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience.
• Hands-on development experience with ServiceNow required.
• Basic observability and associated tooling knowledge.
• Experience integrating Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog, New Relic, Splunk or Elastic.
• 4 ServiceNow Micro-Certs for AIOps/Health Log Analytics/Cloud Observability.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME expertise in the domain and adjacent areas to ensure safe, secure, compliant and reliable solutions.
• Identify development and support needs and take on large, complex design responsibilities.
• Engage with project sponsors to refine requirements and objectives of targeted solutions.
• Facilitate dialogue across teams and ensure collaboration beyond your domain.
• Develop effective presentations for IT audiences and mentor junior engineers.

Software Resources has an immediate contract to hire job opportunity for a Principal Engineer I – AIOps Service Now with a major corporation in Phoenix, AZ. 4 days per week on-site, Fridays remote.

6+ month contract to hire

Must haves:

• ServiceNow hands on experience in their background (5 years)
• Candidates MUST have hands-on development experience with ServiceNow
• Basic observability and teleport
• Integration of those tools -e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, Elastic)
• 4ServiceNow Micro-Certs for AIOps/Health Log Analytics/Cloud Observability

Day in the life of a Principal Engineer I – AIOps ServiceNow Contractor:

• You’ll provide SME expertise in your respective domain as well as adjacent domains to ensure solutions are safe, secure, compliant, and reliable.
• You’ll identify development and support needs as well as take on large and complex design responsibilities supporting project tasks.
• You’ll also engage with project and business sponsors refining requirements and objectives of targeted solutions.
• As a Principal Engineer I, you also facilitate dialogue and activities, and work to ensure team collaboration including teams outside of your domain.
• You’ll develop effective presentations and narratives for IT audiences. In this role, you’ll also develop the technical skills of one more junior engineers.
