Job summary

Infineon Technologies is seeking a Principal Engineer Field Application Engineering in Livonia, MI. You will work with customers to convert products into cutting-edge designs, build long-lasting partnerships, and guide both pre- and post-sales activities.

You will lead demonstrations, perform hardware/software bring-up, and review PCB layouts while leveraging your embedded systems expertise and automotive protocol knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Willingness to travel locally (about 30%) and for longer distances (about 15%).
• Strong presentation, written communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with high-speed physical layer circuitry and embedded systems hardware debugging.
• Experience debugging EMC/EMI and PCB layout issues at ECU level.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (Ethernet, etc.), automotive design principles and ARM Cortex-M cores.

Responsibilities

• Present product overviews and technology demos, and influence customer architecture

Your profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical / computer engineering and more than 7 years of working experience in a relevant field
• Travel to visit local customers (30%), distance travel (15%)
• Strong presentation, written communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience in high-speed physical layer circuitry and embedded systems hardware debug
• Experience with debugging EMC/EMI and PCB layout issues at ECU level

Salary pay information

Location: Livonia, MI, United States

Indicative salary range: US$148,500 – US$ 204,200

In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
