Teradata is seeking a Principal Engineer, Domain Knowledge, to define and build the next generation of data discovery, inventory, and metadata management capabilities acrossFinance, Healthcare and more. You will own the architecture of enterprise metadata, governance, and discovery platforms used by analysts, data scientists, and AI agents.

You will drive strategy for extracting, curating, and evolving structured metadata and business context to power both human analysis and AI grounding, while

Qualifications

• 12+ years building large-scale data platforms and metadata systems.
• 5+ years leading architecture of enterprise data catalogs.
• Proven track record indexing thousands to millions of assets.
• Deep metadata modeling, lineage, governance experience.
• Strong cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise data catalog and metadata platforms.
• Ingest metadata from databases, data lakes, warehouses, streaming platforms, APIs, BI tools, AI platforms, and SaaS apps.
• Shape unified metadata strategy across data assets.
• Oversee governance and data quality integration.
