Our Tactical Space Systems Division Integration and Test group is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer (Integration and Test) to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in Gilbert, AZ.
You will have the opportunity to design, develop, and execute test procedures and automated test scripts using spacecraft commands, telemetry, electrical ground support equipment, and Linux-based simulation tools.
The ideal candidate has system-level integration and test experience working with spacecraft flight hardware, extensive scripting expertise, and strong computer and troubleshooting skills.
Daily responsibilities will require test preparation and execution, leading to direct contact with satellite and space flight hardware. Candidate must be able to tackle complex issues utilizing skills obtained in electrical engineering and related disciplines, with a strong preference for experience in both hardware and scripting development.
Required skills include the ability to communicate clearly, lead test scripting efforts, and use critical thinking to troubleshoot problems during on-the-floor operations. Familiarity with Maestro, Linux systems, and automation scripting is highly desirable. International travel to support launch campaigns may be required. Shift and weekend work to support testing will be required periodically.
Salary Range: $106,000.00 - $130,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
