Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Principal Engineer on the Collaboration team in San Mateo, CA. You will lead the architecture and design of workflows in Roblox Studio and our platform to enable creators and AI agents to collaborate at scale.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in C++ and large-scale systems, strong mentoring skills, and a track record delivering end-to-end features. You will set technical direction, work across teams, and help ensure robust, high-performance collaboration for

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years experience on deep, challenging problems with large-scale systems and C++.
• Experience with microsystem architecture, multithreading and networking primitives.
• Mentoring and driving automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver end-to-end complex technical features in the game engine and Studio UI.
• Establish architectural direction to expand Studio capabilities.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality user functionality.
• Lead by example and mentor engineers in best practices.
• Improve product quality through automation testing.
• Contribute to a world-class MMO game development toolset.
