Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the Cloud Surfaces initiative, focusing on platform acceleration and AI-native experiences across web, CLI, and mobile interfaces. You will mentor tech leads, align multiple product teams, and translate constraints into scalable technical designs.

Based in Sunnyvale, CA with opportunities to collaborate across Google Cloud, you will influence long-term roadmaps and drive architectural decisions for enterprise-grade solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field or equivalent practical experience.
15 years of experience as a Software Engineering leader with full stack development.
Experience in web, mobile, and SDK/CLI development.

Responsibilities

Partner with cross-functional leadership to align on a multi-year roadmap.
Create scalable, reliable designs enabling AI-powered UI experiences on web and mobile.
Mentor senior tech leaders and foster engineering growth.
Act as a technical bridge across product boundaries and drive platform reusability.
