Job summary

Google Cloud seeks a Principal Engineer for Service Networking AI to lead the architectural evolution of the service networking stack for AI workloads across Sunnyvale, CA and Cambridge, MA locations.

You will partner with product leadership and customers to define multi-year strategy, drive implementation, and ensure low latency, high performance, and cost efficiency. You will mentor engineers and shape the next generation of technical leaders at Google Cloud.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 15+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale distributed systems.
• 5+ years delivering hyperscale networking solutions.
• 2+ years serving ML/AI workloads.

Responsibilities

• Leverage networking and cloud computing expertise to serve AI workloads.
• Define and land a multi-year architectural strategy for service networking.
• Partner with product management and customers to understand AI requirements.
• Lead software engineers to deliver the architectural outlook on time and with high quality.
• Mentor and sponsor the next generation of technical leaders across Google Cloud.
