Job summary

Google Sunnyvale is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead platform acceleration across Google Cloud surfaces. You will shape technical outlooks for web, mobile, SDK/CLI integrations and mentor senior tech leads to build scalable, secure experiences.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product teams, driving multi-year roadmaps, and translating constraints into actionable designs that extend Cloud capabilities with AI-native solutions across Console Platform, Cloud SDK, gcloud CLI, and Cloud

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
15 years of experience as a Software Engineering leader with experience in full stack web development.
Experience in web, mobile, and SDK/CLI development.

Responsibilities

Partner with cross-functional leadership to align on multi-year roadmaps prioritizing high-leverage investments.
Create scalable, secure designs enabling internal platform stakeholders and AI-powered UI experiences on web and mobile.
Mentor senior tech leads and raise the organization’s engineering bar through collaboration.
Serve as a technical bridge across product boundaries to unify strategy for long-term innovation and near-term execution.
