Job Overview

Lead the design, validation, and deployment of innovative technical solutions for T-Mobile's next-generation network and systems. This role requires expertise in 5G application design, cloud networking, and DevOps automation, with responsibilities including architecting scalable, high-reliability solutions across network domains such as 5G Core, edge computing, and telco platforms. Technologies involved include Kubernetes, OpenStack, AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will evaluate complex requirements, assess trade-offs, and deliver designs supporting 5G use cases like private networks, network slicing, URLLC, IoT, and MEC. Additionally, define DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks to optimize deployment and performance. Strong judgment, initiative, and communication skills are essential, as is experience with NFV, CNFs, SBA, orchestration frameworks like ONAP or ETSI MANO, and real-world 5G deployments.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Technical System Expertise: Deep understanding of system parameters, configurations, and their impact. Lead teams in complex network design, acting as subject matter expert on building blocks, interactions, and dependencies. Conduct independent technology studies and understand adjacent workflows.
  2. Technical Engineering Services: Drive engineering projects, contribute to application of engineering techniques, supervise team members, and present project improvements. Create procedures for validation and optimization, diagnose and redesign systems based on changing requirements, and communicate findings effectively.
  3. Innovation: Develop and implement new ideas to improve systems, processes, and services. Analyze existing processes and vendor roadmaps to highlight upcoming technology changes, and drive improvements to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
  4. Technical Writing: Create detailed documentation, architecture descriptions, and technical specifications. Present complex ideas to non-technical audiences and participate in industry norms.
  5. Technical Leadership: Monitor industry standards, influence decision-makers, mentor team members, and contribute to technology and policy decisions. Understand financial metrics like NPV and ROI.
  6. Technology Strategy: Evaluate technology options supporting business goals.
  7. Supplemental Functions: Network planning, performance analysis, capacity planning, and feasibility studies of new technologies and features, including automation and analytics to identify cost savings.
