Google is seeking a Principle Engineer for Specialized Instances to define workload-optimized GCE instances for AI/ML workloads, ensuring performance and reliability across storage, networking, and memory-optimized categories.

You will collaborate with engineering, product management, and hardware teams to shape the portfolio and drive innovations across the Google Cloud Platform. The role emphasizes leadership, architecture, and scalable systems engineering.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of software development experience with customer-facing products.
• 10 years of cloud design, virtualization, multi-tenancy, large-scale distributed systems, networking, and security.
• 10 years of cloud compute infra and storage or networking experience.

Responsabilidades

• Establish workload-optimized portfolio roadmap by defining GCE instances for AI/ML clusters.
• Lead design, development, and optimization of GCE instances with internal teams and hardware partners.
• Build understanding of enterprise and AI/ML segments to inform requirements for GCE instances.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to tech leads responsible for the portfolio.
