Jobot in Burlingame, CA is seeking a Principal Engineer to own architecture decisions, shape engineering culture, and build systems that directly impact patient outcomes at global scale.

You will lead complex backend development, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product teams to deliver high-impact features, while exploring AI-assisted development tools to advance healthcare technology.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software development experience with demonstrated engineering leadership.
• 8+ years of backend development experience.
• 3+ years with TypeScript and AWS.
• Deep distributed systems design expertise.
• A track record of building platforms, reusable libraries, and high quality modular code.
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with AI assisted software development tools, this is a meaningful plus.

Salary: $230,000 - $250,000 per year
