Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Magna, Utah is seeking Manufacturing Engineers (Energetics) at Level 2 or Principal Level 3 to join the Process Engineering Rocket Motor Manufacturing team. Responsibilities include developing processes for solid rocket motors, applying Lean Six Sigma, and leading tooling initiatives on site.

Qualifications

B.S. degree in STEM with required years of experience.
Level 2 requires 2 years of experience; Level 3 requires 5 years.
Experience in solid rocket motor manufacturing and energetic materials is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve manufacturing processes for solid rocket motors and energetic products.
Demonstrate and instill a strong safety culture in daily operations.
Continuously improve manufacturing processes using Lean Six Sigma.
Perform RCCA investigations to permanently eliminate defects.
Lead design, checkout, qualification and implementation of new or modified tooling or equipment.
