Acuity Inc. is seeking a Principal Design Engineer to lead EMI/EMC design and FCC Part 15 compliance for LED driver products. The role emphasizes architecture, design direction, and collaboration with product management, manufacturing, quality, and external labs.

Based in Atlanta area with on-site Decatur presence and a hybrid work model, this position requires deep technical leadership, mentoring, and a track record in power electronics design and test analytics.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electrical engineering, power electronics, or LED driver design.
• Extensive practical EMI/EMC experience meeting FCC Part 15 Class A/B for conducted and radiated emissions.
• Hands-on EMI troubleshooting and pre-compliance testing with lab equipment.
• Strong PCB design/layout knowledge to support EMI performance.
• Ability to lead technical reviews, risk assessments, and cross-functional decisions.

Responsabilités

• Apply EMI/EMC design principles to LED driver products to meet compliance targets.
• Lead EMI pre-compliance reviews and testing for emissions and drive corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot EMI issues using lab equipment and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with labs, manufacturing, quality, and certification teams for FCC qualification.
• Mentor engineers and share design best practices across projects.
