Job summary

Acuity Inc. is seeking an entry-level to early-career product design engineer to lead electro-mechanical development from concept through production.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver prototypes, tests, and final parts while aligning with manufacturing capabilities. Based in Decatur, GA with a hybrid on-site model, this role requires a Bachelor of Engineering and up to 2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering required.
• 0–2 years of applicable experience.
• Proficient with 3D CAD software.
• Familiar with LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Knowledge of UL testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead product design from concept through production within cross-functional teams.
• Develop and document part geometry, assemblies, and drawings; manage BOMs and change notices.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to resolve part/assembly issues and BOM errors.
• Participate in stage-gate reviews and product delivery meetings.
• Support process improvements and Kaizen activities as needed.
• Coordinate prototyping and testing; review specifications and competitor samples.
• Contribute to design reviews and ensure manufacturability.
