Job summary

True Anomaly is hiring an Electrical Engineer (Staff or Principal) focused on EMI/EMC for spacecraft. You will define grounding, bonding, shielding, and filtering architectures, leading pre‑compliance and qualification efforts to ensure robust electromagnetic compatibility from unit to vehicle level.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of EMI/EMC engineering experience with ownership at unit and system level.
  • Experience with EMI/EMC qualification to MIL-STD-461 and GSFC-7000 (GEVS) or equivalent standards.

Responsibilities

  • Own EMI/EMC technical direction across the spacecraft, setting unit- and system-level requirements.
  • Define grounding, bonding, isolation, shielding, and filtering architecture at both box and vehicle level.
  • Lead EMI/EMC qualification and verification campaigns to MIL-STD-461 and GSFC-7000 (GEVS).
  • Perform pre-compliance analysis and design reviews to identify emissions and susceptibility risks.
  • Diagnose and resolve EMI/EMC problems during bring‑up, integration, and test.
  • Develop and review filter designs, shielding analyses, and PCB/box‑level mitigation guidance.
  • Build and mature the company’s EMI/EMC test capability and procedures.
  • Partner with multiple teams to ensure EMC is designed in, not tested in.
