Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking principal or senior principal Embedded Software Engineers in San Diego, CA. You will design, develop, integrate and test embedded software for Link-16/Tactical Datalink, working with Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering and Hardware in an Agile environment.

Qualifications include a STEM degree with 5+ years (BS) or 3 years MS or 1 year PhD, proficiency in C/C++, OO design, and experience with real-time multi-threaded systems, plus Jira/Bitbucket/Git and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or STEM with 5+ years of related experience, or MS with 3 years or PhD with 1 year.
• Proficient in C/C++ and Object Oriented programming.
• Experience with embedded real-time systems and low-level firmware.
• Experience with Jira/Bitbucket/Git and Agile software development.
• U.S. Government Secret clearance eligibility and onsite work in Rancho Carmel.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software for Link-16/Tactical Datalink.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, and Hardware teams in an Agile environment.
• Analyze system capabilities to meet program requirements and controls.
• Maintain and debug real-time multi-threaded embedded applications.
