Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer for the Westford, MA R&D facility. You will design analog and digital hardware for new fire alarm products and support existing lines.

The role involves embedded systems, sensors, power supplies, and cross-functional collaboration to bring products to production. You will research new technologies and lead small teams as needed, with relocation options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• 8+ years of electronics design experience in analog, power, audio or embedded systems.
• Experience with analog design and low-current analog circuits.
• Experience with electronic CAD and manufacturing transfer.

Responsibilities

• Design analog and digital hardware for new fire alarm products.
• Lead embedded system and microcontroller design activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to take designs to production.
• Develop creative solutions to meet product needs in a team setting.
• Ensure designs comply with UL/ULC, CE and FCC certifications.
