Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical power system design for municipal water/wastewater projects. Location options include Florida, Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, DC, with responsibilities spanning design, mentoring, and technical leadership.

You will oversee power distribution, motor controls, lighting, and grounding design, while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and supporting business development. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires 12+ years of electrical design experience for water/wastewater projects.
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and a Florida PE license.
• NFPA 70/70E knowledge with ability to apply standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design teams and provide technical guidance.
• Manage project budgets and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Control Systems and Process Mechanical groups.
• Prepare scopes, schedules, and budgets with project managers.
• Perform power systems studies and arc-flash analysis.
• Conduct field inspections and oversee construction activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive knowledge sharing.
• Travel up to 25% for site visits and client meetings.
